زيلينسكي يعلن انقطاع الكهرباء بسبب هجوم روسي “غير إنساني” في عيد الميلاد

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday on X that Ukraine is facing power outages in many regions after a massive Russian airstrike earlier in the day.

Zelensky said that on Christmas Day, Ukraine was attacked by more than 70 missiles, including ballistic missiles, as well as 100 drones targeting the country’s energy infrastructure.

“Today, (Russian President Vladimir) Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhuman?” – Zelensky wrote in an English-language post.

He said Russia was still “struggling with the power outage in Ukraine.”

“According to preliminary reports,” Zelensky said, Ukrainian forces shot down more than 50 missiles and “a large number of drones.”

“Unfortunately, there were strikes,” he added.

There is no way to independently verify the claims.

“There is currently a power outage in several areas. Power engineers are working to restore power supply as quickly as possible,” he wrote.

He made the comments after sirens went off in Ukraine over the latest Russian attack.
